Patch Notes - ags - 3.0.0 - Solisium's Awakening

3.0.0 [] Solisium's Awakening It includes the Housing System, new Orb Weapon, Battlegrounds, revamped Dimensional Trials, Hyperboost Servers, Tier 3 gear and more.

Hyperboost Enabled

Hyperboost is an increased pace of progression for new players or existing players who want a fresh leveling experience.

Players will progress to max level normally by completing the Adventure Codex. However, the Adventure Codex will now grant stronger rewards, providing higher level gear. Coupled with our new Feature, Path of Ascension, which will provide accelerated rewards for Weapon Mastery, Runes, Skill Growth, Artifacts, and more, you can quickly grow to over 6,000 combat power and step into current content.

Hyperboost is available on all servers after the Solisium's Awakening update.

Additionally, brand new servers will be opening at the time of the update, also with Hyperboost enabled. These servers offer a great opportunity for new or returning players to experience a fresh server environment without established character or guild progression in place.

These new servers will use separate matchmaking groups for interserver content for at least 2-3 months following their release.

Players cannot transfer existing characters to a new server for at least 2 months after release. Characters created on new servers will not be able to transfer to legacy servers for at least one month. These newly added servers will use their own self-contained Auction House group for at least two months.

New Weapon Type: Orb

The Orb is a strategic weapon that summons up to 3 spheres to protect allies or hinder enemy advancement.

Skill effects vary depending on the placement and utilization of the spheres, enabling various combat scenarios from providing ally shields to suppressing enemies.

Specialized in skill shots and area control, it will provide a different combat experience from existing weapons.

  • Arena: Orb has been added to matchmaking restrictions. Only 1 Orb user can be present per team.

  • Raid: Orb has been added to the weapon types that can use Starlight: Light of Life.

  • Items: New Orb weapons have been added throughout various types of content.

New Feature: Player Housing

The Housing system, a lifestyle content feature, has been added - allowing you to acquire and manage your own personal space in the world. Gather materials needed for furniture crafting and fill your space with hard-earned decor. Increase your House Rating to unlock additional housing locales and achievement rewards.

  • Unlock Requirements: Complete the Extra Codex quest 'Home Sweet Home' to acquire your first personal housing space.

  • Locations: There are 24 total housing locations available across two villages: Kastleton and Vienta Village. Available houses can be identified on the map with new housing icons or by door nameplates out in the world.

  • Housing Types: There are four categories of housing size: Basement, Small, Medium, and Large. Larger sizes are unlocked by increasing your House Rating through crafting more and better furniture.

  • Ownership Limits: Characters can own up to 4 house locations. You can view your owned properties through the 'My House Management' menu when in a housing space.

  • Housing Assets: Decorating your home increases your 'House Rating' score. Raise this score to earn achievement rewards, increase the number of houses you can own, and gain permission to purchase larger houses.

  • Visiting Others: View other players' houses through a new button added to their Character Profile.

For more commentary from the developers on their approach to player housing in Throne and Liberty, check out the interview article.

Housing: Furniture System

Furniture items in your inventory can be placed in housing spaces after moving them to the 'Furniture Storage Chest' through the furniture placement menu.

  • Furniture moved to Housing Storage cannot be returned to your inventory.

  • Moving furniture from one house's housing storage to another house's storage requires a Furniture Ticket.

Each furniture item has an individual House Rating value, and when moved into housing storage, your House Rating score will increase.

  • Only one item of each type will count toward increasing your House Rating score; duplicate items will not add to the total.

  • Your House Rating score is calculated by adding up all the highest-valued furniture stored in your housing storage.

Furniture can be crafted through the Furniture Crafting Table in Kastleton or Vienta Village, or purchased from the Furniture Workshop Merchant.

Housing: Furniture Crafting

Craft furniture for your homes at the new Furniture Crafting Table in Kastleton and Vienta Village.

  • A new furniture crafting skill has been added: Furniture Crafting

  • Gain Furniture Crafting experience by crafting furniture and decor items to level up your skill.

    • View your current skill level in the Life Skills section of the Character Info window.

    • Higher Furniture Crafting levels allow you to craft a broader range of more valuable furniture and decor items.

Housing: Furniture Materials

Obtain materials for furniture crafting through the Material Processing system, accessed at the Furniture Crafting Table.

  • Four types of processing skill have been added: Woodworking, Forging, Weaving, and Handcrafting.

  • Collect materials throughout the world of Solisium through gathering to use in furniture material processing.

  • Gain experience in each skill by processing materials.

    • View your current skill level in the Life Skills section of the Character Info window.

    • Higher skill levels allow processing of higher-grade materials.

  • The time it takes to refine materials will vary by material grade. The processing queue works in order of first-added material.

Gathering System Overhaul

With the addition of housing, furniture, and new crafting materials, the gathering system has received an update.

  • New gathering skills have been added: Logging, Mining, Fur Gathering, and Foraging.

  • Gather materials from the corresponding categories and gain experience to level up the new skills.

    • View your current skill level in the Life Skills section of the Character Info window.

    • Increasing your skill level grants access to additional gathering nodes and larger quantities of materials received.

  • Gathering nodes have skill level restrictions, identified by the color of the node. You cannot gather from a node if your skill level does not meet or exceed the required level.

  • Gathering nodes are distributed throughout the world, but areas with high concentrations of specific node types can be identified through material icons on the world map and minimap.

New Contract Type: Life Skill Contracts

A new type of contract has been added, making use of your new gathering and crafting life skills.

  • Pick up village-specific Life Contract Chests from Furniture Workshop Merchants in Kastleton and Vienta Village.

  • These chests contain gathering, processing, and furniture crafting contracts. Complete them by delivering the required items to the delivery box next to the Furniture Workshop Merchant in each village.

  • Earn Life Coins in return, used to purchase housing permits, furniture move tickets, and rare furniture crafting materials. Some decorative furniture can also be purchased with Life Coins.

New Feature: Path of Ascension

Path of Ascension consists of character progression missions that can be completed sequentially to earn rewards.

By completing the Adventure Codex, Leveling Log, and Ascension missions, characters can reach 6,000 Combat Power efficiently.

  • Stage completion rewards can be obtained when all missions in each stage are completed.

  • Different rewards are provided based on the character's highest Combat Power upon first login after the 3.0.0 update.

New Feature: Path of the Stars

Path of the Stars is a beginner's guide system that recommends helpful ways to build your character.

Through this guide, you can check out recommended weapon combinations and skill usage as you level.

  • New characters will see the weapon recommendation guide during the Weapon selection step of the tutorial.

  • Upon leveling up your character, multiple recommendation cards will be shown, and players can select one matching their playstyle.

  • Recommendations are based on the current weapon combination equipped. Recommendations include:

    • Stat distribution, Active Skills, Passive Skills, Skill Specializations, Weapon Mastery modes, and Guardian choice.
  • Recommendation cards will not be shown during combat to avoid interrupting your play experience. Unselected cards can be reviewed through the function in the Main Menu or on the left side of the minimap.

  • If you want to change weapons or reset previous selections, you can use the reselection menu through the Growth Cards button on the character window.

  • Recommendation application rules:

    • Stat increases are not automatically applied when stat point requirements reach +2.

    • If active skill slots are full, auto-equipping is not applied.

    • Passive skills will have existing equipped skill settings changed to match card recommendations.

    • If points are insufficient for skill specialization or weapon mastery, recommendations are not immediately applied.

    • If the recommended Guardian has not been acquired yet, the Guardian will not be registered.

  • Any updated missions that are identical to previous Leveling Log missions already completed will be marked as complete automatically after the update.

  • Missions up to your current character level will be automatically completed to allow for immediate reward collection.

Character Movement Changes

  • Improved responsiveness by ensuring visual effects and sounds play immediately when landing on the ground.

  • Boss skills now have a slightly looser area-of-effect (AOE) judgement, which considers network latency to make boss battles more intuitive for players with high ping.

  • Mitigated a desync issue where players were forcibly dragged back if stunned while moving under network latency.

  • Improved Glide Morph responsiveness so that now the players will morph into the glide morph immediately after the user action.

  • Mitigated an issue where gliding players could fall to the ground when abruptly rotating camera, especially under high network latency.

  • Reduced an issue where a player's landing motion would be played twice especially under high network latency.

Fall Damage Prevention

  • Characters no longer die when falling to the ground in a non-gliding state, which should help with unexpected gravity attacks.

  • Health will not drop below 10% of Max Health when taking falling damage.

  • This protection applies in safe areas, such as Towns and peace regions.

  • Characters may still die when falling from extremely high places.

  • Fall damage death is still enabled in PvP areas and in instances as before.

  • Additional mitigation for random occurrences of getting stuck between NPCs and structures in town.

  • Reduced instances of being repeatedly teleported back (rubberbanding) when attempting to move on certain types of terrain.
